Traditional Czech Pig Slaughter at the Chateau
For several years now, we have been returning to our roots and preparing a traditional pig slaughter for our dear guests in winter. We would like to invite you once again to our sixth castle pig slaughter with all the trimmings.
We look forward to welcoming you again to our beautiful castle courtyard from February 20 to February 22, 2026. The weather has been kind to us in previous years, making it a great experience – dining outside in winter is simply perfect. A pig from Český Dvůr in Havlíčkův Brod, raised organically, will be prepared for you by our excellent castle kitchen team, who already have plenty of experience from previous pig slaughtering events. All the traditional delicacies will be available, such as cracklings, blood sausages, testicles, pig slaughtering soup, and more. In addition, there will be castle bread, cucumbers that we pickled in the summer, mustard, and other delicacies. Good cheer will also be provided by lively music. In addition, you will be able to roast sausages yourself over the fire, where we will also prepare potatoes from our field under the castle granary on the coals. So if you like meat in all its forms, come on over! There will also be traditional carnival doughnuts. And because winter in the Vysočina region is usually a real winter, let us pamper you during these special weekends in the unique castle Wellness & Spa by L’Occitane, where a magical sauna world awaits you, a swimming pool under historic vaults, a whirlpool in an ancient tower, and a magical silentarium under the arcades of the orangery with a view of the snow-covered English park. What's more, you won't leave the castle empty-handed after this weekend.
